Washington State Annual Fire School and Conference notes from 2008

Congratulations to our members Preston, Eric, and Terry!

The Department with the three highest scoring members in the Scholastic Track is awarded the Captain Joseph R. Cook Memorial Trophy each year. This trophy is named for Washington State’s first Fire Training Officer. This is a perpetual trophy that lists all of the former winning departments.
The Fred G. Allison Scholastic Achievement Award (a Gold Watch) is presented to the person who scorers the highest in the Scholastic Track. He or she will be listed on the Judge Hugh Rosellini Perpetual Trophy. To be eligible, members have to attend and take written tests on all three days of the Scholastic Track at the Annual Fire School and Conference.
In 2008, the winning team was from South Kitsap Fire and Rescue comprised of Firefighter/EMT-B Terry Lerma, Firefighter/EMT-B Eric Rush, and Firefighter/EMT-B Preston Cronce, all from Battalion V-2 at Station 6 in Sunnyslope.
Firefighter Eric Rush from South Kitsap Fire and Rescue also won the gold watch for the Fred G. Allison Scholastic Achievement Award.
